ABOUT US
Prince Edward Historical Society Mission Statement:
- To stimulate and encourage interest within the community in the study of the history and heritage of Prince Edward County
- To bring together members of the community interested in preservation, research, and promotion of local history and heritage
- To encourage and foster awareness in children and youth through education of their history and heritage
- To preserve existing documents, papers, records, maps, pictures, books, stories and other materials important to the history and heritage of the area as well as actively seeking new materials
- To promote publications pertaining to the community’s history and heritage
- To encourage the identification and preservation of historic buildings and areas of historic interest
- To provide the greater community with the opportunity to learn more about their local history through public meetings, tours and encouraging community involvement
- To co-operate with other historical societies and related organizations

The Prince Edward Historical Society has a selection of prints, books and maps available on the history of people, places and buildings of the County.

Net proceeds from the sale of all publications, prints and maps enables the Prince Edward Historical Society to continue to preserve, protect and promote the history and heritage of Prince Edward County.

Membership fees and donations to the Society allow it to preserve, protect and promote the history and heritage of Prince Edward County.
Annual membership for individuals is $20.00, or $30.00 for a family living at the same address.
